Fun for all at Lantern Walk 2022 / Final Master Plan posted

The Fifth FoFH Lantern Walk took place on August 27th, and was a huge success! The weather was perfect, the time of day was ideal, and the team that “magically” springs to life around this event was in top form.

For those who’ve never participated, the Lantern Walk is an event where our community comes together to make lanterns from recycled soda bottles; then, at dusk, we light them and carry them around Fellsmere Pond. Here’s a few pictures:

We have decided that future Lantern Walks will be held on the Saturday before Labor Day, so please mark your calendars for Saturday, August 26, 2023!

In other news, the final Master Plan for Fellsmere Park has been posted on the City of Malden website, and can be downloaded here. Now it is time to search for funding these great ideas, and we need your support to help make this plan a reality. We have begun a grant writing campaign. If you would like to help, tasks from researching to simple data entry are available. Let us know if you can help! And if you're new to this plan, please go here for information and access to the several public presentations that formed the basis of this plan.
