Councillor-at-Large Craig Spadafora, Ward 3 Councillor John Matheson, and Mayor Gary Christenson are pleased to announce this year’s Fellsmere Pond Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Following the Annual Parade of Holiday Traditions on Saturday, November 25th from 2-4PM and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Malden Public Library at 4PM, there will be a second Tree Lighting Ceremony at Historic Fellsmere Pond beginning at 6PM. Santa Claus will be on hand to visit with children, and everyone is invited to enjoy hot chocolate and delicious cookies!

The 24-foot artificial “Giant Everest” tree was purchased by Councillor Spadafora and will be the City’s official Christmas Tree when the new City Hall is built, but for next couple of years will be displayed at Fellsmere Pond during the Holiday Season to add to Malden’s postcard perfect start to the holiday season!
